BEACHES & ATTRACTIONS

Nature in itself is an attraction here in the area on the beautiful and barren landscape. Just around the corner you will find a nature reserve Horsan, the spring Vitärskällan which gives you eternal life if you drink from it, the Rauk at the curve up towards Bläse where it is perfect to swim by the rocks. Below are some famous attractions and beaches

• The limestone quarry in Ar (Blue Lagoon/Blå Lagunen), the limestone quarry which looks like a blue lagoon. Icecream stand and parking guards during high season. (12min)

• The limestone quarry in Kyllaj (17 min) and Smöjen (25min)

• Bäste Träsk - The biggest lake of Gotland (10 min)

• Blåse museum, train and a secret limestone quarry, a much quieter bathing place than the Blue Lagoon. (about 7 min)

• Fårö with its beautiful scenery, miles long beaches and very good restaurants and cafés. (16min to the ferry)

• Kappelshamns beach on the other side of the bay, small sandy beach with jetty and swings. (5 minutes)

• Ihre gård, very child-friendly with cafe, shop, playground, tennis, pool, boul, group riding and private riding lessons. (16min)
